Good lunch. The poor boy is as good as you can get. Nice deco and friendly staff. Great beach view.

Service and food were great. Alondra was our waitress and she was amazing, so sweet and always on top of any needs we had. Shrimp & Snow crab dish was again SO good. Plenty of food! Crab dip with warm pita like bread is our fav! Family also had grilled shrimp skewers and Bronzed Mahi sandwich, which they both loved! Suggestion: Go earlier in the day. We went about 6:30pm and waited for over an hour to be seated. There are bars available for drinks and access to the beach with a playground for kids.

Came in for an anniversary dinner on vacation. headed to the bar for drinks while waited to get seated, Just get a bucket.... Had the crab for two, it was excellent. You probably won't finish it all. The food and drinks are excellent The patio is the place to sit, restaurant is showing its age, could use a refresh. But if you're on vacation and want a fantastic crab dinner don't sleep on the crab trap!

Visited The Crab Trap on two different occasions while on vacation. Our rental was just across the street so it was very convenient, but ample parking. While at the beach, we were able to walk up to the beachside bar for beverage and food service. The family also dined there one evening and we had a great experience. Excellent service on both occasions. We had a variety of menu items which we all liked. Grouper, Snapper, shrimp, po boy, and triple crab for two. Priced similar to other restaurants in the area.

My wife and I were staying at a condo west of the Crab Trap. Whenever we would get a break from the kids we would walk the ~1 mile down and then get a drink. We would sit at the bar that is right on the sand. The drinks and prices are pretty standard for all of the ocean front bars that sit at the public access beaches. Service was fast and polite, and you can't beat the view. So if you are with a small group and want a cocktail and a view I'd give it 5 stars. If you are going to eat here though I would give you caution. They don't take reservations, the area is packed, and it isn't great for large groups. If you come on a crowded night you are going to have a long wait. There also isn't much parking given you are competing with the public beach. So if you do want to eat here try and do it on off hours and also preferably walk in rather than drive.

This is not a food review. Hardly seems fair since I don't eat seafood which is what they are basically known for. I got a burger, it was awful. But I'm from Texas, we know beef. Florida - not so much. The rest of my family does eat seafood and they all enjoyed their meals. The restaurant was jumping. Super busy. We arrived at 5:30 which was a 45 minute wait. 15 minutes later and the wait was two hours!! We waited 45 minutes. It went by fast. Lots of good people watching. We were seated with a front row beach view and our server was so kind and smiley. It was just a really good experience so 4 stars for ambiance and service!!
